Jeron Teng made the most out of his last game before leaving AMA Online Education for a week to play with Mighty Sports in Dubai.
The La Salle star nearly posted a triple-double in the Titans’ 88-80 win over Victoria Sports-MLQU on Monday.
With 18 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists, Teng kidded that had he known, he would’ve have gone for the feat, which has only been accomplished thrice before.
“If I knew, I would’ve have assisted three more times,” he said in Filipino.
Teng isn’t worried about AMA’s standing as he has his full trust in his teammates that their winning streak will continue when it plays Blustar Detergent on Tuesday.
“I’m really confident with my team even without me. We have other good guys like Juami (Tiongson) and other veterans here. For sure, they’ll be able to lead this team and pull of the win,” he said.
Teng is also hoping that his stint with Mighty will be beneficial for his personal growth.
“It’s going to be a good experience for me playing with those professional guys and good imports in the international stage. It will help me improve my game more especially on my shooting and defense,” he said.
“I’ll just bring out my energy there and do my best to help the team out,” he said.
